Kennford Playbox is a rural preschool entired owned by its parents. We are a registered charity. Unlike many other preschools we are entirely not for profit. We are proud of our Outstanding OfSTED report which places us in the top 2% of all the UK's daycare providers. We also won National Preschool of the Year in 2009. 95% of our children go on to Kenn C of E Primary School which is also OfSTED Outstanding.
We cater for 2-5 year old children in a purpose-built pre-school. We make full use of a wide range of fantistic equipment, furniture and fittings. We have fantastic outdoor facilities, including a covered area with climbing frame so the children get plenty of fresh air, whatever the weather!
The children help to prepare healthy snacks as part of the daily routine and cooking is a regular activity undertaken in our own, bespoke kitchen.
Children with Special Needs are welcome. Wherever needed, and if funding is forthcoming and if possible, a support worker will be employed.
We are able to claim nursery funding for qualifying children attending the group from the term after they are three years of age.
Our staff ratios are significantly higher than the legal requirement.
